About Release Management
The primary purpose of this process is to ensure that all aspects, both technical and non-technical, are accommodated during changes. Release Management has responsibility for developing and implementing effective procedures for distribution and installation of changes to the organisation's IT-systems, that hardware and software changes are traceable and can be rolled back, and that the involved stake-holders are well-informed and prepared for the changes.
